On your phone, go to SETTINGS in the menu>. Find the BLUETOOTH menu option and touch to open it>. Once SYNC appears, touch the GEAR (right side of screen)>. You will see UNPAIR. Touch UNPAIR and the sync will be removed from phone>. Take out the battery, wait 30 seconds, replace, and power phone back on.

Thanks :) This happened to me occasionally on my then iPhone 5, don't think its to do with the cars bluetooth, sounds like a corrupt music file/library, try the following: Hard resetting your phone by holding the power button and home button together until the screen turns off, turn it back on.
I had a 2017 Fiesta SE with a similar issue. I had to get some sort of bluetooth-related module replaced and it ended up costing about $900 (including the dealer diagnostic fee and shipping the module from somewhere out of state).
