The cameras were full production units running firmware v1.0. There are also some images converted using Canon's Digital Photo Professional software, which was provided to us.

1. I think the RF 24-105 is quite good for portraiture. Sharp in center at F4 (not in the corners - but not so needed) and nice bokeh. I have the Canons 85/1.4 and macro 100/2.8 and they are of course better for portraiture but the 24-105 is so much more all round.
it is a good range ,but i always prefered a 2 lens set up either 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 or a 20-70mm f4 and 70-200mm f4 , 24-105mm with a 135mm f1.8 could be useful also ,if going for a one lens option then it has to 24 -200 or 28 to 200mm for me but i am sure many will like the flexibility of the 24-105 and f2.8 is the icing .
And the RF 24-105 (not L, again) Again, reviewing the samples out there, I'm seeing the same theme as the EF-M 15-45 vs RF-S 18-45, the RF 24-50 may be operationally less capable (can't hit 105mm), but in terms of optical performance, it's superior delivering better metrics within the focal range it has. Samples taken with the RF 24-105 f4.0-7.1 and RP. Oct 12, 2020. 1. Here are some real world samples take with this lens/camera combo either at 24mm or close to it. Images processed in Lightroom. I find that the "geometry" tool is very helpful with this lens. I use the auto setting and it makes a big difference.

24-240 could be a nice one lens solution for traveling or holidays. Rather big. Some users like it - and it is suitable for many needs. I considered it when I bought my R6, but it was not available then. I started with the cheap 24-105 f4-7,1 STM kit version and upgraded to f4 L when it was possible. RF 24-105 is IMO a very good lens !

2. Sharpness may be slightly less at the long end. 3. At 24mm you may notice some corner issues at f/4. In the end, I don't spend a lot of time worrying about the "sweet spot" for focal length - if I need a focal length on this lens I use it. Dan.
